Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, I spent my early childhood in Wisconsin, but moved when when I was six years old to Peterson, Minnesota, where I graduated in 1989. I attended college at Winona State University and graduated in 1994 with a double major in Theatre Arts and Creative Writing. I returned to Winona State in 1998 and received a degree in English Teaching.
In 2000, I began teaching full-time at Studio Academy Charter Arts High School in Rochester, MN. In 2007, I returned to my hometown to teach English at Rushford-Peterson High School.
I am married to my lovely and talented wife, Missy, and have two children, Jackson and Sophia. We currently live in an old farm house outside of Mabel, Minnesota, where we curse the winters and relish the summers.
As of now, nearly two dozen of my plays have been performed in 48 states in the U.S. and internationally in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. I am also a member of the Dramatist Guild. I have also done commissions for various organizations and taught many writing classes to all ages.
